K-9 Angels Rescue is a 100% volunteer-based nonprofit dog rescue organization based in Houston, Texas, dedicated to rescuing and rehoming shelter dogs regardless of breed or circumstance. Since 2012, K-9 Angels has rescued and rehomed nearly 10,000 dogs. The organization also operates The Empty Shelter Project (TESP), a free spay and neuter program that has performed over 31,500 surgeries since 2017, preventing more than 165,000 first-generation offspring from entering Houston shelters. In addition to local adoptions, K-9 Angels coordinates transport partnerships with rescues and shelters in northern states, where approved adopters are waiting for companions. All donations go directly to animal care and spay/neuter expenses. Foster volunteers are always welcome to help prepare dogs for transport and adoption.
