El Gato Coffeehouse is Houston’s first and only cat cafe and rescue, located at 508 Pecore St in The Heights neighborhood. Admission to the cozy cat cottage is $18, while the spacious cat studio is $14. All cats at El Gato are adoptable, with a $120 adoption fee and a 7-day trial sleepover period to ensure a great fit for your home. El Gato is open Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday from 12:30–4:30pm, Saturday 11am–5pm, and Sunday 12–5pm. It’s a unique Houston destination for cat lovers and those looking to adopt.
